Starting Over (like we all should...)

It's 10:00pm. A first for us that it is not anything past midnight! I tried to post a blog, but apparently I do not remember the email associated with the blog, so I had to copy and paste our old blogs from the website. We initially started this blog on May 8, but the posts are dated for today. Sorry for the confusion, but I finally got it right. Please save http://www.mixedchilipeppersarehot.blogspot.com/ as the correct address.

To get up to speed with everything, we have been staying at local hotels so we can blog about them.

Our first stay was at the Embassy Suites in Corpus Christi.
I have to say that it was not all that for the money, but it was accommodating.
There was a beautiful fountain in the middle of the hotel atrium. All the rooms were a two room suite so it made up for the small bathroom.

Our next visit was at the Hampton Inn located in Kingsville, Texas. The bed was covered in a down comforter and had 6 pillows. Even though only 2 or 3 were used it made the king size bed appear even larger. They even had a lapboard for your laptop! Definitely a positive for us. They had up-to-date movies you could order as well. Nothing comes free at the life of luxury.

I was mostly impressed at the size of the restroom. On the contrary I wished they had a bathtub as opposed to a walk-in shower, but the sink and mirror made up for it. The counter top was very spacious that it appeared extravagant. There were plenty of towels and your forgetfuls on the counter top.

Our last stay was over Memorial Day Weekend. This was the best weekend we have had in a long time. We drove up to Blanco, which is about 40 minutes North of the San Antonio hill country. It was just gorgeous. We visited with my cousins in Blanco and in Dripping Springs. We got a few shots of the place on the way there and back.

John saved us by making us stay in an inn vice sleeping on the floor. What a great guy!!! We stayed at the Blanco County Inn. It was a evening to remember. We had two beds and somehow 4 people ended in one. Don't get me wrong, it was full in all, but the bed was only made for 2. It was quite spacious besides the bathroom, but it at least it had a tub. I am a sucker for bathtubs. The inn was quite homey, as it had walk way rugs on the floor to add to the hill country feeling. It did have it's charms.

To end this wonderful plight here are a few shots of us on the way home from our road trip. Enjoy!
